Facebook to begin testing ads inside Oculus virtual reality headsets – Oculus headset ads could be a significant step for Facebook, which derives more than 97% of its overall revenue from advertisements. – The Oculus headset ads will first appear in the shooter game Blaston from Resolution Games. … The ads will follow Facebook’s advertising principles and give users the same controls they have on Facebook. This includes the ability to hide specific ads or hide those from specific advertisers.“


Facebook AI-Moderation kommt

Facebook’s AI moderator will tell group admins when users are beefing in the comments – Part of a suite of new tools for managing Facebook communities … This tool is called Conflict Alerts, and Facebook says it’s just testing it for now so availability is unclear. It’s similar to the existing Keywords Alerts feature, which lets admins create custom alerts for when commenters use certain words and phrases, but uses machine learning models to try and spot more subtle types of trouble. Once an admin has been alerted, they can take action by deleting comments, booting users from a group, limiting how often individuals can comment, or how often comments can be made on certain posts.“

Facebook Podcasts starten bald

Podcasts start coming to Facebook next week – Facebook is planning to start rolling out its podcast product next week, on June 22nd, and, eventually, add a feature that’ll allow listeners to create clips from their favorite shows. – According to an email sent to podcast page owners and viewed by The Verge, hosts can link their show’s RSS feed up to Facebook, which will then automatically generate News Feed posts for all episodes published moving forward.“

Spotify launches its live audio app and Clubhouse rival, Spotify Greenroom – In March, Spotify announced it was acquiring the company behind the sports-focused audio app Locker Room to help speed its entry into the live audio market. Today, the company is making good on that deal with the launch of Spotify Greenroom, a new mobile app that allows Spotify users worldwide to join or host live audio rooms, and optionally turn those conversations into podcasts. It’s also announcing a Creator Fund that will help fuel the new app with more content in the future.“
